One of the biggest reasons wardrobes feel too large, too small, or difficult to use is incorrect measurement before buying.
Many people measure only the wall width. That is not enough.

Step 1: Measure the Wall Width
Measure from corner to corner where the wardrobe will be placed.
Example

Total wall = 96 in (8 ft)
Do not buy a 96 in wardrobe.
Leave at least:

2 in on each side for installation and uneven walls.
